I'm still shell shocked that Scream 4 didn't get nominated for the Best picture award at both the Goldan Globes and the Acadamy Awards. Scream 4 was unfairly robbed. Scream 4 had everything. Scream 4 had genius level acting. Scream 4 had genius level script writing. Scream 4 had genius level direction. Plus, the fact that the serial killer turned out to be Emma Roberts as Jill Roberts and Rory Culkin as Charlie Walker was a stroke of genius. The facts that pointed to Jill Roberts and Charlie Walker's guilt as homicidal serial killers made perfect sense. Emma Roberts' ability to make prank telephone calls in a male sounding voice with the use of technology was logical and coherent. Extra bonus points for killing almost everybody in the cast except for Neve Campbell as Sydney Prescott, Courtney Cox as Gale Weathers Riley, David Arquette as Police Officer Dewey Riley and Marley Shelton as Police Deputy Judy Hicks. Scream 4 was brilliant genius level examination of sexism and girl hating misogyny that functions as classic film making. The fact that almost nearly everybody in Scream 4 ends up getting killed and the fact that almost nearly everybody in Hamlet ends up getting killed compares to each other as equals in storytelling perfection. I honestly thought that Scream 4 was going to sweep the Academy Awards in all categories including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Production Design and Best Song among other categories.
